How to Link Your Amazon Author Central Page

Amazon Author Central gives you control over your author profile on Amazon — including your biography, photo, and the list of titles associated with your pen name. If your author page is not yet linked to your account, PublishDrive can help you verify your identity with Amazon so you can claim and manage your profile.

What is Amazon Author Central?

Amazon Author Central is a free platform where authors can manage how they appear on Amazon. Once your account is verified and linked to your author page, you can:

  • Update your author biography and photo
  • Manage the books listed under your name

Please note that if you distribute your books to Amazon through PublishDrive, you will not be able to use Author Central's sales tracking features — but you can still take full advantage of your author page. Buyers are a lot more likely to show interest in an author they don't know yet if they can see a photo and a short bio. For sales data, you can use PublishDrive's own sales analytics instead.

How the verification process works

Because your books are published through PublishDrive, Amazon requires us — as your publisher — to confirm that your email address is legitimately associated with your author page. Once we send this confirmation to Amazon on your behalf, Amazon will proceed with granting you access to your profile.

What you need to do

To get started, please reach out to PublishDrive support with the following information:

  • The pen name registered with PublishDrive
  • The email address you use (or wish to use) for your Amazon Author Central account
  • Any relevant screenshots of communication you have received from Amazon regarding your author page (if applicable)

Make sure your pen name and email address match the details registered in your PublishDrive account. If there are any discrepancies, our team may ask for supporting documentation to confirm your identity.

What happens next

Once we have your details, our team will contact Amazon Author Central on your behalf to verify that your email address corresponds to your author page. This is handled through Amazon's official process.

After Amazon confirms the request, you will gain access to your Author Central profile. Please note that response times are determined by Amazon and may vary.
