What can I see in earning reports?

You can download your monthly earning reports from the Royalty payments menu by clicking the little download icon. It is an Excel sheet containing the following data:

  • Column A: Sale date
    • This is the most likely date of sale. In some cases, it is inaccurate; for example, for books read in a subscription model, sale date is only an estimate. Not all stores send us the date of sale: if it is unknown, we record the book for the 15th of the month.
  • Column B-D: ISBN, Author, Title
  • Column E: Quantity
    • If there were multiple books sold with the same parameters (same day, store, country), we group them together and count them in the quantity field.
  • Column F: Customer price with tax
    • The final price the customer paid with VAT or sales tax included, if appropriate, in the customer's currency.
  • Column G: Customer currency
    • The currency the sale was made in. In some cases (e.g., in subscription models) it is the default reporting currency of the store.
  • Column H: Customer rate
    • Exchange rate between the customer's currency and the publisher's currency.
  • Column I: Sale or Refund
    • Refunds are also displayed in the sales report.
  • Column J: Publisher name
  • Column K: Country of Sale
  • Column L: Store
  • Column M, N: Price of an item with/without VAT
    • This is in the publisher's currency. If there is no VAT on ebooks, the two numbers will be the same.
  • Column O: Publisher's revenue for each item
    • This is the publisher's revenue in the publisher's default currency with the stores' and our percentage taken.
  • Column P: Digital List Price
    • Book's digital list price in the publisher's default currency.
