[Publishing Status](https://help.publishdrive.com/stores-and-distribution?hsLang=en#publishing-status) # What happens to my book after it's uploaded? ## How long do I have to wait for my book to be available in stores? **You can watch what happens in the video below or keep scrolling for a written description.**    After uploading your book is sent to PublishDrive's internal review team to see if anything needs correcting in the files or metadata. Once approved we’ll immediately send it to stores. However, each store has additional review processes, so the publishing date will vary. Store doesn’t automatically accept books, as they have to check for copyright and quality issues, but we do everything in our power to speed up publishing times. But in general, here’s what you can expect from the major retailers:  - **Amazon**: 1-3 business days - **Apple Books**: a few hours to 3 business days - **Barnes & Noble**: 2-7 business days - **Google Play Books**: 7-10 business days [(Google setup needed before the publication)](https://help.publishdrive.com/distribution-to-google-play-books-through-publishdrive?hsLang=en) - **Kobo**: 1-3 business days - **Scribd:** 7-10 business days - **China:** up to 6 months - **Amazon Print**: up to 2 weeks - **Ingram:** up to 2 weeks - **Audible:** up to 30 days (For marketplaces, such as ES and IT, titles could take an additional 2 weeks to process.) - **Dreame**: up to 7 business days - **Repro India**: up to 7 business days - **OverDrive**: ebooks within 5 business days, audiobooks within 5-10 business days - **Baker and Taylor**: 1-3 weeks - **Gardners**: up to 2 weeks - **Spotify**: up to 2 weeks *You can check the publishing time information for every store after successfully uploading a book for distribution.* Typically, it doesn't take longer than 14-28 business days for a book to be accepted in any of the stores, but certain public holidays (such as Christmas and Chinese New Year) and occasional maintenance may influence the speed of publishing by the stores. We suggest that if you have a book with a strict publication date, you upload it at least two weeks in advance.
