Withdraw one book from sale
You can withdraw your book from distribution anytime. Go to My Books, click on More – View and edit under the book you wish to delete.
Then, the main editing page will pop up. Please click on Withdraw book from stores to remove your book from sale.
Many of our stores have 14 days to remove a book from sale, so we recommend that you wait at least two weeks before entering an exclusive distribution. Please note that it may take 4-6 weeks or longer for the titles to be removed from retail outlets around the world.
Please do not enter KDP Select until you are certain that your books have been appropriately removed.
Withdraw more than one book
If you would like to remove many of your books at the same time, you can do it under your imprint settings. Go to the Manage stores & imprints page, select the imprint, and click on Edit imprint or Update stores.
Then, scroll down until you find the Status, and click on it to set your imprint to Inactive.
Once you click on the Withdraw book from stores button or you set your imprint to inactive, we will deliver the removal request to the stores you have enabled during the book upload.
As mentioned above, this process requires time, and until the stores complete the removal, your book will remain available on their platforms. This means that your book can generate sales while the removal is being processed. If copies are sold, we will report and pay them out to you.

You can find your detailed royalty reports under the Royalty payments menu.
If your subscription plan becomes inactive, we will automatically deliver the removal request to your enabled stores for all of your books in the published status.
Your subscription plan becomes inactive if

you cancel it under Account settings – My subscriptions,

or, if your monthly/annual payment fails, we will automatically cancel your plan.
In this case, the same applies as above: until the store partners complete the removal process, your book will remain available on their platform, and if any sale is generated, we will report and pay out the amount to you.
If you are ready to continue your publishing journey with PublishDrive, you can select a plan for yourself by clicking on your name on the top right corner, and selecting Account settings – Plans.
Disabling a store
If you wish to remove a book from selected stores only, you can do it in two different ways.

You can disable it by opening your book for editing by clicking on More – View & edit. Scroll down until the Distribution section, and click on the Disable button.
If you complete these steps, we will only remove the book from the selected stores. Please note that this only applies to the book you are editing.

You can also disable a store on the imprint level. To do that, please go to the Manage stores & imprints page, select the imprint, and click on Edit imprint or Update stores. Under Distribution enabled, you can enable and disable any store you wish.
Please note that if you disable a store under Manage stores & imprints, the removal will be delivered for all books under that imprint.
For example, if you decide to disable Apple Books here, but leave the rest of the stores enabled, we will only deliver the removal to Apple Books, and your books will be removed from that one store only.
Withdrawal performed by store
It happens that our store partners change their policy, and if your book no longer meets their requirements, they will automatically remove it from sale.
If you find that your book, which was previously available in a store, can no longer be found, you can reach out to our support team, and they will be able to give you a detailed explanation, or investigate the availability for you.
Reinstating books
Once your KDP Select has ended or you have made all the changes you deemed necessary, you can reactivate your book at any time. Go to My Books, open the book by View book or More – View & edit, then click on Republish.
If you would like to re-start the distribution for more than books under the same imprint, go to the Manage stores & imprints page following the steps highlighted above, select the imprint, click on Edit imprint or Update stores, and set the Status to Active.
Making changes
You don't need to remove a book from sale to make changes or update your book. Just simply find your book under My books. Open your book for editing by clicking on More - View and edit. Once you press Update, your book will be going through our internal review. After our approval, your updates will be sent out to the stores immediately.
