With PublishDrive you can choose to distribute your books to only certain channels. If you sell directly to one of the stores or use other services for some of the stores we offer, you can easily disable them in your account.
The easiest way to manage your store selection is when you upload a new book. You can do so by scrolling down to the ‘Distribution’ section and clicking on ‘Customize’. This will give you the option to enable or disable certain channels. By default, all stores are enabled.
You can make modifications to your store settings at any time, even after a book is published.
Disabling a store can be a good idea when:
- You sell to a store directly. We cannot submit a book that is already available in a store.
- You use the services of another aggregator to publish in a store. For example, if your books are already on Apple Books through another company, it should be disabled on PublishDrive.
- Your book doesn’t fit the requirements of a store. For example, certain stores will not accept adult content, EPUBs with a fixed layout, or certain languages. You can disable the store in these cases, but it is not absolutely necessary since our review team takes these factors into consideration before submitting your book.
You also have the option to create imprints for your catalog and different store settings per imprint. Read more about this here.
